Wouldn’t you just love to whisk a girl away to the Bahamas on a nice jet? With your budget, however, you can barely afford to take her out to a nice steak dinner and a movie. So you ask yourself..How does one impress a lady without breaking the bank? How do you woo a girl on a budget?
Below you’ll find a list of fun cheap date ideas hopefully you’ll find them helpful.
Fun Cheap Date Idea Section:
1. The Coffee Date:
This scenario is only good for the initial first date. If you attempt to do it more than once, your putting yourself at risk for the girl to think your one or more of the follow: “just friends”, “you’re cheap”, “your boring”, or your just a caffeine addict.
Coffee shops/Cafes or great cheap places for this type of cheap dating behavior. If you find one with a bookstore that’s even an added bonus. You can use all the interesting books around you to bring up fun topics to discuss about etc.
Estimated cost: $5-$20 depending on the amount time you stay and the number of snacks and drinks you order
2. The Hike or Rike Ride
This scenario is good if you live by a hiking trail or mountain trail. What it consists of basically is your feet, a car, food, drinks, and a bike (if you choose the bike ride). Keep in mind when your deciding on a cheap fun date, don’t invite the girl to hike or bike if you know she’s not an outdoors kind of girl (you risk scaring her away). While your preparing for this date just remember to pack some water and snacks (sandwiches if your having lunch). If the hike trail has a waterfall that’s a huge plus.
Estimated cost: $5-$20
3. The Farmer’s Market or Street Fair
This scenario is great money saving idea. It is practically free admission at most and maybe $1-$3 for some larger ones. You can search on google for local farmer’s market or street fairs going on in and around your town. There’s plenty of music and entertainment going on all day long. This scenario also has so many vendors selling different items that it creates plenty of opportunities for conversation.
Estimate cost: $5-$20 This is for admission and maybe a snack or two inside the market.
4. The PP(Park or Picnic) Date
If you live near a lake this would be great but if you don’t, a local park will do. Anything with a very nice view and environment. If a long drive is what you need to do to reach your final destination, all the better. It’ll give you a better opportunity to get to know your date along the way.
Estimated cost: $15-$40 The price varies according to how extravagant and decadent you want to be here.
5. The House Party Date
This scenario only really works if you are presumably a social guy to begin with. This being the case, you should be invited to many house parties throughout the month. Just make sure its not like a party for men only full of kegs and strippers and you should be good. Another tip: Remember to bring something you don’t want to look totally cheap even though there is most likely to be free food and drinks.
Estimated cost: $10-$20
Don’t make taking a girl out on cheap dates a habit. This is not to say that you go out and blow the bank everytime. Just take her on enough that you save enough money to take her on that special expensive date once in a while.
